Questions

I've sat through my share of Business/Systems Analyst interviews.  Often, specific questions are designed to determine if the person has the technical and soft skills to perform in the position.

Ones such as:

  • Can s/he self manage, but also follow directions?
  • Can s/he communicate with various stakeholders (i.e., Application developers, upper management, clients)
  • Can s/he be an active listener but also speak their mind where needed?

My idea here is to gather a list of questions (generated by myself or as indicated through search engines) and develop ideas for answering them.  They may be questions not seen before and others that you've heard a bunch of times.  Keep reading the page for these ideas.

Are you looking for my work?

Head on over to Modern Analyst's site.

It is my own bias and may not reflect anyone else.  But I hope to offer a unique perspective pulling in my work & life experiences into the mix.  It is not my intention to gather the answers I find and paste them.  If I write something similar to others' well, great, you can rest assure I'm steering you in the right direction.  :)

The question is not in the form of a question but is an excellent article to review.  Until recently, I had never had any DEI-related questions asked.  It is a big topic and one that should consider and be prepared to answer even in the BA space. No position should be immune.
